Fresh LIve Rock

Hi I don't know if this is crazy, but i am going to ask anyway! I am going to the Dominican Republic in a few weeks and was wondering if it possible to bring back some rock? I have been there and have seen some good stuff just don't know how I would get it back? If I do bring some back, can I put it in my new tank? Right now I have about 20# of cured rock in there, no fish.

Maybe possible to pick out your pieces and have shipped back day before you leave. Might be worth while.

Set up a rubbermaid tub with High SG water and a powerhead.
Rinse rock off before putting in. Let soak for at least a week. Makes sure there are no unwanted tag alongs.

Also best to heat the water forgot to add that in. Recure the rock some before adding it into display tank.

Isn't the collection of live rock without a permit illegal? Most places, it's possible to get a collector's permit for some living corals, fish & inverts, but I think collection of live rock is more tightly regulated.
