anybody here do freshwater or Know of a frewshwater site like this one for selling locally. I am getting rid of some freshwater fish to make room for a bigger tank. I have a beautiful convict pair. There is more fish but at the moment I just need to get rid of them male convict. He has a hump comeing in on his head alreday, and he is beautiful. I want them to go to a good home and not to a lfs.

yes i could post a pic but i dont know if I would mix them with the africans. when they are breeding they are VERY aggressive. but singly they arent as much. But also because of the different water paramaters idk. They are very hardy though, but might go after the africans.

For local sales, not really sure. If you ever have to return to an LFS, I would suggest Marinewarehouse (fresh water).

When I was divorced three years ago, I returned my African Cichlids there (couldn't take care of tank and didn't have a place to move it too :'-( .

From my personal experience with them for years, I was confident that my fish would have a better than average chance of finding a good home.

For local sales or just to find a good home, I would try Craigslist or the Supersaver section in the Tampa Tribune Classifieds.

I would double check the water params for African Compat. Africans require water that's has a high Ph. As far as agression, I would think they would be fine, depending on size of your tank and your rockwork.

Don Lino, Good call. forgot about that site. Haven't been there since I had to take down my A.Cichlid tank.

My tank is a 90g. The PH is 7.6
