freshwater moray eels

can anyone shed some light on this issue. i went to a fish store recently and saw that they were selling a freshwater moray doesnyone know anything about this please help me.

They aren't true freshwater eels. They need brackish water to thrive. Stores just like to sell "freshwater" morays because it gives non-marine customers a chance to buy something they normally wouldn't be able to get.
