Freshwater MP10 uses?

I'm kicking around ideas for a 55 gallon freshwater river tank with loaches and other river fish. I'd ideally only use a low constant setting since freshwater fish aren't adapted to wave action. Ideas? Concerns?

I bought an mp10 for my 36x20x20 planted tank, I keep it at about 20% power lagoon mode and it is great! For loaches you could go much higher.
