I have seen them growing together, that's kinda what am trying to do here, so far so good

That's interesting. I have a lot of tiny hammer babies maybe each is 2 mm in size. If your experiment works I may be ably to put a torch near them.

So far it is doing perfect, it is stretching nicely together, so we might be onto something excited here

Its called dripping and not so common in an aquarium as reef

Mine just grows and splits grows and splits. Gone from 1 head (1/2") to 40+ (10") in 1.5years or so. It has never dripped. Pretty cool!
