Frogspawn...each head a different animal?

Hey all, I was just wondering if the heads of a branched frogspawn would each be considered a different individual or are they somehow connected with living tissue through the hard structure of the coral?

I think while they're splitting there's a good bit of shared tissue, but after that they're solitary since if you frag them it's all skeleton.

yep agree with organism, if there isnt a tissue connection between heads then you can consider it a solitary polyp. I think that once they grow apart to a certain extent they then become solitary so there isnt an internal tissue structure connecting two or more polyps together

different animal as in?.. They are not genetically different if that's what you're asking, so they will not produce different colors etc.. but they do act as different animals with the same genes.. just imagine someone cloned you.. there will be 2 of you, that are different depending on various factors such as the amount of nutrition whichever one of you gets influences the growth of that one. im confusing with words... i know :rollface:

Would agree w the others: no. My euphyllia came with a damaged part on the bone prob from former fragging and didn't have any tissue thereof any problem.

Very cool, and thanks for the info everyone. I figured that the living tissue eventually separated.
