Frogspawn expelling zooxanthellae

Bought a frogspawn a few days ago. It was under a 4-bulb VHO setup near the top of the tank. My tank has 4-T5's and I currently have it on the bottom, in the corner with very little flow. He hasnt extened much and yesterday and today its been expelling zooxanthellae (long brown strings). Searching on google - some say this bad, some say its normal.
Could it be that its just light shock from going from VHO's to T5's?

Parameters all look good - Ammonia 0, nitrite 0, Ph 8.2, Alk ~9, nitrates around 10ppm, salinty 1.025, Ca 450, MG 1200, and temp stays between 78.5 and 79.5 throught out the day. For my lights, my actinics are on for 8hrs, daylights on for 6. Normally do a water change on Friday and the nitrates will drop down to 0 for a few days and go back up a little if I run a filter sock. Going to go ahead and do a larger (about 20%) tonight.

In the pic, he was extended probably 2x that when I got home. After it started to push out the zooxanthellae it retracted quite a bit.

I think it will recover fine, I've had a hairy mushroom do that and a week and a half later it's twice as big.my frog is very retracted at night and gets very large during the day and evenings

It might just be poop. Certain corals will retract like that for short periods of time. It's a good thing.
