Frogspawn growth

I noticed this white-ish 'cone' shaped thing on my Frogspawn the other day. In this pic, it is right in front of the main branch.

What is it?

hard to see what you are talking about in the pic. may want to circle it with photoshop and repost the pic. It is probally a new head forming. Thats what it sounds like to me but with a better pic I could let you know for sure.

I see lots of little heads near the base of the bigger heads, but this is something new.

I've seen that when one head is being shaded by the other heads. It's like the flesh stretches out until the skeleton can catch up.

yah thats like the "main body", i guess you could call it. that comes out of the skeleton... then the tenticles come out of that........ looks like it just has extra body to it. if you can get in there and flip it upside down without it retracting... you'll see its just the underside to the tenticles

my alveopora is doing the same thing. its growing at about 1/8" a month. doubled its entire size in 5 months. must be the water cause 3 Kenya Trees i bought the same time are the same growth rate. REEF-ON!!!
