This was fine 4 hours ago prior to a tank feeding of phyto/zooplankton. Now this head looks like it is going to die. The other 9 heads did this exact thing before melting away.
No brown slime. No "bugs" that I can see. Just heavy white slime at the mouth and then death.
It has been fine since last week until this moment.

Help please!

Try water change. Did something die like a coral? Are these fairly new? Any new introductions? Do you have a skimmer? Have u tried running carbon?

These are about 3 weeks old now.
Everything else in the tank is fine. Nothing else is dead or has died. The only new introduction was a 2 head Duncan frag about 2 weeks ago.
Yes I have a skimmer and it is operating.

JJ650 , I am having a problem with my 2 hammers and 1 frogspawn. I had a lavender mushroom melt . I was hoping that a piece of it would survive and regrow. But the main DT was not the place to do it. I should have removed it because the sister lavender mushroom started to melt also. When I saw its stringy contents out flowing, I tried to catch it but disintegrated. Next day my frog and 2 hammers were affected. One head on the frogspawn died and had some tissue regression on the hammers. I have done 3x 40% water changes, turned on the skimmer and added small amt of charcoal. The have come back a little.

I have taken it back to the LFS. After a few minutes of talking and none of us able to offer up an reason for the decline, they took it back and gave me a store credit for half of what I paid. I am not complaining, as I felt that it was sure to lose another head and more down the road.
They did recall this particular frogspawn and it was aquacultured from one of their show tanks. I have seen it before and just did not realize where it was from. The mother colony was a 100+ head and this was a part of that. They feel it may have been treated rough after fragging (wth???).
At any rate, the only LPS I have now are duncans and a turban coral colony. Maybe in a couple of months I'll give the Euphyllias another try and won't bother the forums with frogspawn questions until then. :D
