Frogspawn polyp tips look burned

I noticed sthat ome of the polyps of my purple frogspawn looked dark and burned at the tips. Does anyone know what is causing this? I just want to make sure that it's ok.

Happened to my torch, although I'm not exactly sure what caused it and if was good it bad since it wound up dying later from brown jelly. Maybe stress? Tagging along.

Any chance you have a peppermint shrimp. I had some tentacles on my hammer look the same way after it went to town on it when I introduced it to my tank. I let him go thinking it was just curiosity. A week later caught him at it again. Needless to say he was donated back to my LFS. If you have one keep my eye on him.
