Of late my frogspawn has started to grow a number of very long thin tenticles...there is some xiena growing close by. Is he getting ****ed and adapting these for attack?

Thanks,
Dirt

Tis possible ;)

Seems like these guys like to spread out if theres other coral within there "buffer zone" seems like they can smell it :D
But this is only what I speculate it to be from witnessing it myself. Got one doing the same so I removed the rhodactis and just peachy again after a couple days. Fragged the rhodactis up, and just last night one of the frags parachuted to a new local by happenstance to where it innitially was, right next to the frogspawn! And ya, the frogspawns strignin out and some are shriviling up again.

It's attacking xenia. The branch of my white xenia was scorched by this. Same - for other corals in proximity, only this time I kept them away.

Sometimes frogspawns will develop sweepers if they are receiving too much flow. If the web connecting the underside of the tentacles to the stem isn't fully expanded, then it might be getting too much flow.

Is there any way that you can redirect or lessen the flow a bit?
