I recently got a frogspawn about 2 months ago. The heads opened up nicely for about 2 weeks. Now the heads open up with a tenacle lenght of about 1/2" all the time. I had it placed in the top half of my tank. I thought maybe it was because of the MH's why it does not open like it used to. Acouple of days ago I moved it to the bottom of the tank with no direct current. There has been no improvent

I just wanted to add also the color of my frogspawn if the same bright green. This has not dimissed over time. It just does not open up like it used to. Why?

It could be why. What are your water parameters for temp, salinity, alk, cal, nitrates, etc?

They tend to like moderate lighting and flow, so maybe it was a little too high up in your tank. Give it a week in the new position to see how it does before moving it, assuming your water checks out OK.

By the way, frogspawn is a Large Polyped Stony coral (LPS), so posting on that forum would be appropriate, unless a moderator can move it for you. :)

I put my frogspawn on some live rock at the bottom of the tank away from anything else. I had them by my mushrooms at first and it did not like that.
