what do you mean harden the skeleton. they are already fairly brittle the only thing i can suggest is check your calcium, it is what constructs the skeleton of your little froggy
Their skeletons are very light and not really much to them (sort of honeycombed). Touching them should not make them crumble though. How does the polyp extension look?
Try doing this...put them in a place where they are happy and leave them alone. If their skeleton is weak, and your parameters are constant, they will calcify and grow. Too much handling is not a good thing, they are fragile by nature.
