I just purchased a frogspawn from a LFS. I have a 10G Nano with a 40 Watt Power compact. Do you think it would be enough lighting for the coral to sit on the bottom of the tank or should i bring him to the top?
I've got a piece of frogspawn that was originally 2 heads (i'm pretty sure) that is now about 6 that has grown in the bottom of my 2.5g tank with a 10w light. there is also an octopus coral there too. I would move them as high up as you can, but they might be able to do okay near the bottom.
I have mine on the mid-top of my 10g with 80watts and it was too much light, I put a light diffuser (eggcrate) cover on and now "its as happy as a clam"....BTW, the eggcrate was put upside down to cut out as much light as possible.
