Frow spawn shrinking

Hi there

I have a frog spanw corals than was doing very fine I took it with 3 heads now it has 7 heads, but today i notice than one of the heads are shrinking, any ideas? I have notice in the base it has severasl veremid snails, never did much damage, I dont know if it is the couse or lack of ligth for the others heads to blocking ligth.

hmm, sounds bad with 7 heads I'd not risk it.

when it doubt.... cut it out (off).

The Snails may be smelling dead flesh thus that piece might be doomed. I'd cut /break that whole head off if it was me. 6 healthy is better then 7 dead.

I've seen several references at various times about breaking off the heads that are in decline to save the others.

Where does one break the head lose? At the soft fleshy part? At the stoney part where it branches off?

By what method does one break said head from the rest of the colony without damaging the heads that are still healthy?

I will cut it off today. and put it unther moderated ligth to see what happend
