Just picked the frag of fruit loops up from the lfs

Got a bit of encrusting monti with it as well. What did you pay if I may ask?

I got the whole rock of them for 80 dollars from a friend. And the monti is a plus as well

Montipora or Cyphastrea? Nice piece either way.. Those Fruit Loops are one of my favorites, but they can be kind of tricky sometimes. GL.

Why a bubble algae nightmare ?

Do you not see the blobs of bubble algae on your frag? i would have dropped it and run and saved my money for a clean frag... i would carefully pluck that out of the frag immediately and make sure to not pop it, and rinse it in ro right after... don't do it in the tank...

next thing you know... you'll end up with blotches of bubbles on your return pump, under rocks, random places.... watch out!

Looking extremely close now it is bubble algae I stopped and picked up an emerald crab today

Bubble algae is not a nightmare btw. Just carefully flick them off, dip, wash, and place back in tank. Also don't mount the frag till you are sure they are gone.

I know I have never had it bad at all and it is manageable it comes right off
