Hey Guys,
This is a partial venting post, if anyone has any thoughts to solve my issue I am happy to hear them.
I have always been a huge fan of the pseudochromis. In my experience the springeri and frimandi are great reef fish. Arabian is pretty - but so darn mean. Over the years I have had a few frimandi and once established they are great fish in the tank, darting in and out amoung the corals and sometimes open water swimming.
About 8 months ago I picked up a second springeri. They are of different sizes and while they cruise all over the tank, they recently appeared to be interacting in a non-aggressive manner.
About 3.5 months ago I came across the chance to get a wild pair of Frimandi. They weren't very large, which made me suspect to them being a "pair". But the price was reasonable and I had no qualms about getting two frimandi for my tank.
So, once in the display tank they established themselves under a large rock (freestanding rock that is about 24" tall column weighs over 50lbs). So the two frimandi are definitely paired up. But they live under a rock and when they swim out from the rock they swim to the back of the tank. These two fish never come to the front of my tank!
So I frustratingly have to stare between and under the rock work to catch glimpses of them coming out to eat, on the back side of the tank.
So bummed to have two such stunning fish, who are living together happily, which I can't enjoy.
Okay, that's my vent.
