Frustration

Well, I got my tank back painted, finally got all the plumbing, skimmers, etc and was already to start putting everything together. I set the tank on stand (Oceanic) and what do you know??? The stand is bowed in the middle front and back. The gap between tank and stand approached 1/16 in the middle of the tank. The stand top is a shallow "U" shape! I only bought the stand so that I could keep a warranty on the tank. I have both the tools and skill to make the stand, otherwise. So now I have to drive 40 miles round trip on $4/gal gas to get it replaced. And due to my job I can't even do that til next week.

I know it will be months before I'll have a mature system so one week shouldn't matter, but I am so frustrated!!!

The LFS, at least, is being totally cooperative in replacing it without question. I hope they don't get stuck with the cost.

dont worry about them losing out, they will get any money they lose back from you in the long run:lol:

Ah, that blows! You're right - it takes long enough to get things established without delays like this. At least the LFS isn't giving you grief. Good luck on the rest of the setup - hopefully this will be the only setback...!
