No doubt that t5’s can grow coral and they look good too, I am not into the look of T5’s specially when you try to take pictures of the corals, it's simply my taste.

I am doing MH with LED’s, I don’t think I need the led’s but I like the dawn and dusk effect also I like to have a little moon effect, I have had corals spawn events under this conditions, I also like them as intermediate lights. here is a sneak pick of what I am doing
