Selling my Aquamaxx ConeS - CO3 skimmer. This skimmer is a workhorse for sure. It;s quiet, well made and dependable. I've had it about 6 months now and the only reason I am selling it that I just like to try out different equipment... pretty much constantly. lol

Retails for between $425-$450. I am asking $300 firm.

Skimmer is in use right now, but will get a nice vinegar bath for it's new owner. I still have all the manuals, etc. than came with it. It's in perfect condition. 1 owner

Here is a link to it: http://www.marinedepot.com/AquaMaxx...in_Skimmers-AquaMaxx-UJ00154-FIPSISNW-vi.html

Wow, they dropped the price since I listed it.

Not looking to trade for anything at the moment.

The lowest I would go on it would be $275 but that would be it. It's to nice of a skimmer. I would probably just keep it.

I'm looking to upgrade my skimmer. How do you like it? What's the reason your changing it out ? What size tank are you running it on ? What type of bioload ?

It's a really nice skimmer actually. Really nice build quality and quiet. I bought it originally for a 220 build I was planning then that tank never got setup. So now I am running it on a 120 gallon system with a medium bioload. It pulls out some pretty nasty skimmate.

I am selling it because I need a little more room in that chamber of the sump and I like to switch it up here and there. Kinda think it's a hidden gem of a skimmer though. Not too many people I know run them. Compared to reef octopus, vertex, etc but i think it's a pretty killer skimmer.

I have the opposite problem. I bought a skimmer for my 125 gallon tank and ended up changing out to 180. So now I have a pretty new reef octopus Diablo 160. I would like to upgrade to a larger skimmer. It's been doing a great job since I changed out my tank. I am looking to add a lot more fish so I would like to get a skimmer rated closer to 250 gallon or so.
If you are looking for space saving and great skim. The 160 is a great deal

I actually had one of those a while back and it was really nice. I was cleaning it and my daughter knocked it off the counter and the rest is history. lol.

I'm going with the vertex omega 180i next I think.

They say the aquamaxx is rated for up to 500 gallons I think but not sure I would totally believe that but you never know
