Selling a ASM G3 skimmer - $225

This skimmer was bought 2 months ago. I bought with the intention of it going on a 120g; I've since began a build on a 70g. More skimmer than I need. I've had it running just water w/live rock for a month. Ready to be dried off and put back in it's box so you can take it home.

Easy to clean, simple to operate, includes Sedra 5000 pump w/ pin wheel technology.

- 6.5" Diameter reaction chamber
- 25" Tall
- 11" x 12" Footprint
- ASM rated to 250 Gallons

KMP - I think that skimmer would also work well in your 70g. I have one, and it work very well. The only thing I don't like about that skimmer is that it can't be used as an external skimmer. :(

Can you please post the picture of the pin wheel? I didn't know ASM skimmer has pin wheel now. Do they work better than the needle wheel?
Thanks

I have an E.T.S.S. that has a pump and would work perfect for you. Want to work out some sort of trade??

wait, can't you mod it to fit it as an external? like feeding the plumbing directly into the skimmer with the pump recirculating?

To modify an ASM to work externally you would have to install a gate-valve. But one problem with that is that ASM's have a reputation of being somewhat leaky, which may not be a problem in a sump, but could be a serious problem if it is running outside of it.
I'm not saying that they all leak, I'm just saying that this is a reputation that has been linked to ASM's in general.

I personally really like the ASM G-1X, but I am running mine in-sump.

Reefuge - The skimmer would work well; however, I'm trying to maximize space under the stand for other stuff.

Elite - sorry for the misadvertisement on the pin wheel. Pulled that info off of a website. After your post checked two other websites and yes, it is a needle wheel.

pbetito - thanks for the offer, but I'm slowing my roll for right now to evaluate everything I want to do with the limited space under my stand before I jump on another skimmer.

MIke - make that 3. I also have a Sapphire Aquatics AP24 (Aquapod - 24g) skimmer that fits in the back chamber and lets you keep the lid. Bought that and before hooking up decided to go with a bigger tank. $110 for that one.
