I really like the clams, but would they do well with about 5 watts per gallon of PC's?

Just place them higher up towards the light and supplement with phyto. And as My F1sh R D34D! said make sure you have proper ca levels too. I think they should be fine. Sean.

My gf has her's in a jbj nano with 4 watts per gallon on 50/50 and its been in there for about 8 or 9 months now. Its about 2 inches and it still has its full coloration. However to make up for the lighting, we dose the tank with DTs every couple days. Oh yeh, and its on the sandbed as well.

Also, watts per gallon isn't a good tool to judge if your tank has enough light. Its more about par or intensity of the light.

Clams grow super fast when they are in the right conditions...Just by the super slow growth of your girlfriends clam over 8-9 months means the poor clam is probably just getting by....

Any change in the prices?

Sorry Redcastle...these are very cheaply priced already.

Thanks. Sean.
