She said the books are gone, let it go. You can't get blood from a turnip. Or should she write each of you a check? I especially like the super old posts that were replied to. Priceless.

i didnt say anything to you piped up and said something about it. and realistically saying he has a valid point.

Ok here is what I will do. I will donate $100 to the FRAG fund for the books that were donated from DMS and the few that were donated from members that I asked repeatedly if they wanted back. I think this whole situation is out of control!! And ALL over some stupid books that haven't been used in over a year and are worth little to nothing. I did this NOT do this with ANY malicious intent. Hopefully this rectifies the situation in the ONLY way that I can.

I think this is a fair resolution. It seems this is definately out of control. Most people responding to this weren't around when the library was started, and I can say it had to have been a lot of work to keep track of in it's time. I did use the collection a few times back then, but let's face it the internet is far superior to these old books anyways. If you look back through the threads about donating books, I was the first post to offer some books to this collection. I am NOT crying foul. Not at all.

I think Helfrich has done an excellent job over the years, it's a shame this is such a sticking point to some. So, Adrian from me to you, Thank You! I appreciate what you've provided for 'our' community over the years and enjoy the islands.

This is silly, Adrain keep your donation. Like you said in an earlier post. You gave everyone a chance to come forward and claim their donated book.

As a club member I do wish you the best of luck with your move. Even though I joined this club back in 2008, when I moved here this library started and remember Melissa hauling this giant tote around. I understand m-six hundred saying keep your donation but since this belonged to the club it shouldn't have been $100 it should have been the amount you sold them for. You being the so called president and all you should understand that since the books didn't belong to you, they belonged to the club. I'm not trying to start anything but just stating a fact of what belongs to the club belongs to club.

My previous post is not being malicious, but being truthful from a club member eyes since everyone seems to be scared to post on here with the chance of being banned with all the drama that has been going on in this forum. This is my personal feelings as a active club member. I was in a club in California for over 10 years and with stuff that belong to the club belonged to the club not an individual. If the Mods feel this is in the wrong please feel free to contact me and I will discuss this further.

I guess what happened here is that Adrian has taken back the books she donated to the Frag Library and sold them.

I guess that is within her right to do so.

I think it would have been better for the Library to be passed onto the new Frag Master.

What's done is done.

I agree that it is too bad that Adrian's leadership has to end on a sour note. She took on a position that is a thankless job. She brought in Bob Fenner and kept Frag active. Kudo's.

What about the 31 other books that weren't hers to sell. It seems everyone is glossng ver the fact that she stated that 20 were purchased by her and the rest were donated. Those should still remain in the frag library. It's hust plain messed up to sell something that isn't yours.

Because the original DMS books were given to Adrian.....not to Frag.

+1

I personally believe she deserves the benefit of the doubt. What she's done around here is pretty awesome. If a mistake was made then like Kirsten says, it's done. Let's :love2: and make up! This is bringing my corals down...
