FS: Euro Reef RS180 (only 3 weeks old)

I have a slightly used RS180 for sale. I purchased this from a fellow RC member because I was going to do a recirc mod on it and use it on my 120. Well I decided to get a deltec APF600 instead, so I need to get rid of this baby. It is a large skimmer!!!

As you can see, I have the original box, instructions, etc... This thing is in perfect condition. I'm looking to get back what I paid for it, nothing more. The skimmer new is $500, I will sell for $360.00.

I actually purchased this skimmer to do the recirc mod on it. But after reading how loud the Gen X pumps are when used as recirculating, I looked into getting the Eheim 1262 kit from ER, that would have cost me about the same amount as the skimmer, so I decided not to hack up this nice skimmer and get the deltec.

I did sell the doser to a RC member on the TB forum.

Actually the RBTA was doing great until I turned up the flow in my tank, it's now crawling all over trying to find a suitable (less flow) are of the tank.

I have a feeling it's going to find a nice spot in the back of the tank behind the rock work!!!

I hear ya on the adiction part. If all else fails, the sedra 5000 has always been quiet for me.


Yeah, those RBTA's can wander. When it does it can be a real pain. If at all possible, try and get the heavy flow away from the spot closest to the MH and put it back in place.

It sat in that one spot in my tank for 7 or 8 months till I starting moving stuff around on it too.

I sold my Aqua C and was going to go with the ER, however I decided to do neither and go with the deltec. I'll post some pictures of it tomorrow.
