FS - Harlequin Shrimp w/ chocolate star

got it (can't remember sex) at the meeting at the jungle on the 9th. i decided i liked my red sea star too much to let it eat it & have since moved the harlequin to my other tank. yesterday, i bought a chocolate star while at the critter.

think i've decided to get rid of the harlequin since everything is about to go into 1 larger nano tank till i get my oceanic 50 setup & as i said, i like my red star too much for the harlequin to eat it :smokin:

i gave $22 for the harlequin w/ tax & discount at the jungle & the star was about $15 w/ tax......i'll tak $25 for both & can meet somewhere in nash. i live in the hickory hollow area

I had a harequin and it was sooo cool! It wiped out my tiny starfish problem, the little pesty kind and it perished in my GF's tank recently from lack of food . I would love to have it but how does it work? The CC star is its food source and the star regenerates as fast as he eats it or does the shrimp eventually kill the SF? I have read where people keep SF in the sump and just cut off a leg for them to munch on... OUCH! for food. Seems a little midevil but if you want to have a awsome looking shrimp you have to feed him!
Wish I hadn't just went broke on the snail order I would seriousley concider him for Claudias tank. If you still have it in a few weeks I will get him from ya!

it's pretty much eaten the star, so $20 obo....will consider trades.

i know most ppl are crunching $$ for the holiday & i am starting a new build, so if you got something you think i might need....inexpensive pump, 100-150w heater, light fixture for a fuge, misc plumbing parts laying around (1.5 or 3/4 pvc pipe, 1.5" ball valve, unions in either size, etc)....make me a trade offer

not really needing the $$, but would like it to goto somebody that would like to have one

Does it eat brittle stars too? I have several that I am fond of. I'm not sure it could survive my mean wrasse (has killed all my other shrimp except the fire and pistol shrimp).

i'm pretty sure it is sold, but i am making a list of ppl that expressed an interest in it & if it doesn't goto the 1st in line, i'll go by that list at the swap.

btw...it's just the shrimp now....he consumed the CC star awhile back LOL

Wrasses will eat them when they molt. Trust me, I know from first hand experience. For some reason, they don't mess with them when their skeletons are fully hardened???
