Well, seeming how it is pending, I'll hitchhike on this thread.

I have the same chiller just sitting in my garage. I used it briefly on my classroom tank after it was donated- so I am not sure of exact age. It worked well; only thing is that it started to leak a tiny amount inside.

From what I have heard, you can get JBJ to service/fix for $100, or if your handy, I imagine you could easily fix.

I was going to get it fixed and use it, but after I changed out Poisiedon pump, water temp dropped by five degrees. That and a controller with fan are more than enough to keep the tank temp down in the summer, so no need for a chiller.

Asking $100. Located in Huntington Beach, or could bring to work in Cerritos.

Possibly open to trade for multiple frags to stock classroom tank.

.

Not trying to stir things up but it sure doesn't seem right to try to sell something that was donated in good faith to your classroom tank. I'm hoping I just misunderstood...

Selling to fund stuff for the classroom tank, so there is nothing wrong with that at all. It's not like I am pocketing the cash. All still going to the benefit of the classroom and the students.

Giving it away would be worse because something donated to the class would now not be utilized in any sort of way for the benefit of the classroom tank.

Yeah there is nothing wrong with selling something donated to raise fund for the class. It's pretty much the same thing. As long as the class gets 100% of the money earned from it. Just my 2cents.
