As part of a redecorating project I'm lowering my sandbed and took out 75 lbs. of cured substrate that has been in my reef system for approximately 7 years. The material is primarily Caribsea Seaflor Special Grade and Super Reef, but also has some Aragamax Select and Fiji Pink. This is not the really small / fine stuff, but is a nice mixed grade of mid size particles that promotes diffusive flux while not being excessively coarse.
The substrate has been fully rinsed in clean salt water, so there's a minimal amount of detritus. It's currently being stored in my growout system to keep the various worms and critters alive, and should not need to be rinsed or washed further.
$25 for 25 lbs, $40 for 50 lbs, or $50 takes all 75 lbs.
