Going to 2 part. I am having issues keeping my ph up with this. I think the reactor is an MRC-6, but not sure. Possibly a MRC-4. Will look when i go home for lunch and take pictures. It is a dual chamber setup. I just added new media to it Saturday evening. Solenoid and Regulator purchased in Feb of '16.

Setup includes
MRC Reactor
New Media (as of Saturday)
Tunze 7074.400 Solenoid
Tunze 7077/3 Regulator
20# Co2 tank filled ~2 months ago
Plastic thingey-ma-jigger to insert a ph probe for an apex
Blueline or Panworld recric pump. Will get the model # at lunch.
Apex ph probe. Purchased this past fall.

lets start at $550

Have you tried supplementing with kalk? or using kalk, and supplementing the kalk with your reactor? Your tank looks like you have a lot of nice growth. 2 part may get to be a pain if you're going through a lot of it.

My tanks are in the basement and with the air on and Windows closed no fresh air. I do have skimmer air intake line going outside as well as soda lime as a CO2 scrubber but finding it hard to keep ph in tank above 8.1. Maybe dosing kalk and turning down CA rx would help

I'd have a hard time justifying your decision to sell based on marginally lower ph.

I'd be surprised if kalk couldn't help you get to where you want. Maybe even get rid of the scrubber.
Check out this page. It is really helpful in determining kalk contribution. It's been dead on for me. (All I'm dosing right now is kalk). I can choose to raise or lower my alk by as small as couple of ppm over 24 hours using the calculations.

Check out the rest of the site too. Honestly, he has a lot of useful/interesting stuff on his site. I hope he never takes it down.
Hope it helps
