Is it Oregon or Cali tort?

Oregon Tort.. Purchased at SPS Corals a few years ago.

It's a nice coral, but if it's from Aaron, it does look like his mayagi or cali tort. I've owned his oregon tort as a colony and it lacks any green.

interesting. I figured it was due to lighting. The mother colony doesn't display green. Both frags below.. one shows green while the other one doesn't. Both come from same colony.

You guys dont know me but that is more a cali tort. Still a very nice tort . I have the og oregon tort no green at all also have the og becker tort . Just my 2 cents

Aaron himself really knows his stuff. So if you got it straight from him, I would trust him. But they had a few employees who were a bit "off". Maybe you got it from one of them instead?

I remember the day I purchased the frag really well since it was Black Friday a few years ago. We waited on line to get in the store. Aaron has always been great. What I bought was a small blue frag so perhaps it was a simple mistake on their part. At the time of purchase, they said Oregon Tort. Regardless, It's still a beautiful coral. Thanks for the education on the differences between California Tort and Oregon Tort.
