Sunday is okay, but it has to be before 11am. The skimmer is still running on my 135g tank as I type this message. So it is in good working condition.

Thank you for the generous offer. But this would break hansnfrans heart. I have another skimmer in addition to the Oceanic one that you can choose from. I will PM you.

For this SeaClone skimmer, I think it is the right thing to let hansnfrans have it.

Not a big fan of the seaclone are ya, Freed. Well neither am I, at least not in it's original form. I did the needle wheel mod and the shorter inner tube mod to my 2 seaclones and they seem to get the job done. Another ReefCentral member: "H.Crispa," has an awesome recirculating mod that he did to his Seaclones, so that is next on my to-do list.

Good luck with it. I have heard so many horror stories of these things not even working at all.

Yeah, I know firsthand. Before the mods they are so touchy. You could get it skimming one day and the next day it won't be skimming at all. Supposedly, replacing the black plastic venturi inlet valve with a brass one from home depot is supposed to help. Gonna try that one out too.

there just underpowered imo i took the maxi jet off mine and used a hagen 70 and also tapped into my return using a airline tube and ran that into the bottom of the skimmer for added water flow! i get 1/2 cup a day out of it works just fine

wow, I have a hagen 70 sittin' here. How did you connect it to the seaclone?

i did the maxi jet mod so i cut off the adapter piece. then all you have to do is use a small hose think 1/2 to attach the hagen to the adapter.but for the venturi part! the maxi jet one is to small i was lucky and had a old wisper hang on filter and in the uplift tube was a perfect part for this!had to use some ro tubing instead of an airline tube! hope this make sence
