FS, Tunze Setup & Sunlight Supply Blue Wave Dual 250W HQI Dual MH Ballast

Hi guys,

I have a few items for sale.

First, Tunze Setup. I would like to sell the whole setup and at this point I will not part out. I'm looking for locals for pickup only also at this point. I will ship, buyer pays shipping.

(1# Tunze 6101 - 1.5 years old.
#1# Tunze 6100 - 3 years old.
#1# Tunze Multicontroller 7095.
#2) Tunze Magnet holders.

All for $625.

Attached pictures show them in my tank a little dirty. I will give these a nice Vinegar bath before they go to their new home. They will look great.

Second item for sale has never been used and still in the original box. It's a Sunlight Supply Blue Wave 7 Dual 250W HQI Ballast.

$200 Pick up only. Shipping would be crazy on this thing as it weighs over 50 lbs. Online sotores have them listed much higher. It will be a good deal for someone if they need to upgrade.

Wow, that's huge. I am in need of a dual 250W electronic ballast. I suspect that the Blue Wave ballast you have is M81 and not electronic... My Aqua Medic HQI ballas is pretty noisy although it can make any bulbs burn extra bright. I need a silent one (the reason for going after an electronic one). Does a Blue Wave 7 ballast hum like other HQI ballasts, too?

Tomoko, I have no idea as I never turned it ON. Maybe someone can chime in and speak from expericance. I heard that it is a really good ballast.

If Tomoko does not want it will you swap it for a big external pump?

Hmm, I wonder if the noise level depends on an individual unit.

It is an HQI ballast.

Great deal on the Tunze's. If I could only sell some frags...

Price drop on the TUNZE's - $600. I need them gone ASAP.
Ballast $180 - I need it gone as well.

that ballast is not loud at all i have the same one...you hear it come on but thats about it...its a great ballast the only one i have had since i got halides about 2 years ago i guess

forgot to mention that is a great price for the ballast..mine cost me about $475...i paid like $650 for the ballast, bulbs, reflector and everything else that comes with a retrofit system
