Thinking about adding a fuge to my 75g. Everything is going great in terms of water parameters, growth, and overall health of the inhabitants (except for the ole' anenome spliting which I take is a good thing) . . . so do I really "need" one?
I suppose I'd like to have one for the purposes of 1) increasing my tank volume (more stability), 2) creating a place for some macro growth outside of my display and thus, creating a decent food source and finally 3) I just "want" one now so I have something to absorb nutrients for later on down the line.
I guess my question is if one's parameters are ideal, is there any real reason to implement a fuge? Again, I'd "want" to add one for the food source, but do I "need" one to maintain my setup at the current optimal level it is now?
