Slave to the reef!
I get to move into my new house this weekend. I am really not looking forward to moving all these tanks though. Im not really sure how im gonna move my saltwater tank without breaking off the sps frags. I guess they are all pretty well encrusted and will grow back. Im off to go get some rubbermaids.

Yeah Congratz....
It's always exciting moving into a new house.

I never cared much for tearing down systems ....setting them up however...

Thanks guys, i only hope i can get the tank setup decently again. I have stuff balanced in there, and i know its not gonna be the same but will be close enough i guess. Plus i gotta do something with my red cap thats crappin out on me. Ill prolly pull it out and save chunks that are still alive. It started goin to crap when the yellow tang died.

I smashed almost all of my sps in the move and it was just to the basement. If I were to do it again I would probably break them off the rocks and just reattach them after you aquascape. You will never be able to get the rocks to sit the same way again and the corals will get banged around trying to.

For what it's worth, when I did the move I bagged every piece of coral/fish/invert and set them in a rubbermaid of tank water (with a heater). When I got everything set up I floated them for awhile and moderately acclimated them. Everything seems to have taken it well and the corals opened right up.

I just loaded everything in rubbermaids and nothing broke. Now the problem is to get it all setup the same again. I wasnt really prepared for the task yesterday so i took the day off work today. I got a rubbermaid setup with salt water. Im gonna put everything back in the rubbermaid, then setit up exactly like i had it. Its gonna be like a big puzzle. Man what a pain in the butt!!!

So it is almost impossible to setup a tankwith coral gorwing on them already. I lost my superman dante which ****es me off!!! Its NOWHERE TO BE FOUND!! It was even glued to a rock on a quarter sized plug and the whole thing is gone.

I will never move a saltwater tank again.

Im so frustrated, at this point im about to break everything off and remount everything after i get some good aquascaping.
Or get some more baserock or LR and setup a bigger tank.....hmmmmm.

;)

I do have a 75 in the basement thats not doing much right now......and I wouldn't worry to much about the superman.......I know a guy who knows a guy that has some, if you talk real nice to him he might accidently drop a peice in your tank
