Fun shots from my 220

Well after the fiasco of the stand bust and the tank leak we got our 220 back from LeeMar about a month or so ago and its been going through the re-cycling process and tonight I managed to get some fun shots. Try to ignore the algae and aptasia, I have declared all out War (Algeafix Marine and Aptasia-x) and am slowly winning the battle.

Im thinking of upgrading my 125 to something bigger. I know I want to go 7ft, but thats all I know. What measurement is yours? Nice shots and glad to here your up and running again. Can you give me some full shots of the front? thanks

Nice Pics CJ I really like that frilly shroom!

Aquaph8: Are you gonna see off the 125 after you upgrade?

Glad to see you're back.

I'm sorry if I'm being obvious, but a few Mexican Turbos would have that algae cleared up literally in days. Why not use them?

They must be lazy little buggers :-)

Seriously, I'm surprised they haven't stepped up. I thought it was hair algae, but it is something else?

I tend to let the algea grow during a cycle and work my way up with my clean up crew rather than dump a huge amount of inverts in right at the get go. A couple benifits to that are that my pod population tends to skyrocket as well as its cheaper in the long run in terms of CuC cost, and I get just as many as I need and no one starves. I do have to say though the Algeafix marine is impressive stuff, I am only on my fourth dose but you just see the hair algea withering away and where its been removed by my CuC it does not grow back.

Oh and a really nice thing is when my stand busted I kept it, I removed all but the front panel with the doors and the two side panels. I refinished the inside and used Angle brackets and wood glue to reinforce it. Slid it back on today and it fits around the steel stand with an almost perfect fit.

I promise I will get pictures but at this point we could be hours away from our first child being born so that takes priority.

I have to protect the good name of turbos. I've had two tanks (rather my sons did) that they did amazing work in. One was a 36-g bowfront that looked like a hair algae lawn. Two turobos had it cleaned in a week. It was as if I had used a squeegee. I wish I had pictures. Another was a 60-g that had gone all to H@*&. In less than 3 weeks, two turbos had the hair completely gone. Is my experience unique?

Hey guys - I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hijack this thread with my talk of snails. If anyone wants to chat CuC, we should probably start a different thread. Again, I apologize and congrats to Bones on your tank.

Oh its all good as far as I am concerned, I am no thread nazi when it comes to staying on topic. Lets just say the train of thought in my head takes many tracks.
