fungas pics please

i have been treating my yellow tang for ich in my q/t tank. now the ich is gone but i see a 1/4"x1" brownish vertical stripe on one side of him. i think this is a scrape but i guess it can also be fungus. i had a fungus outbreak in my old freashwater tank and lost everything to white fuzz. i have been treating the q/t tank with seachems paraguard,,,,it says its good for fungus but i am sure that there is something a little better for a fungus only infection. some pics of a sick tang would help if avl. thanks.

anybody out there? well i have done alot of of reading and here is what i have done so far.....i removed the sick tang and whiped off the suspected fungus,then i took a q-tip and dabbed some iodine on the flesh of the fish. then returned the fish to his 20g q/t tank. on the q/t tank i started to run my diatom filter with powder and lots of carbon,,i also started to run my old moded seaclone skimmer on the tank. the conditions on the q/t tank are PRISTINE. i am feeding some home made food made from( crab fish shrimp garlic muscle and flake food) i have also put fresh seaweeds in the tank. do you thing he will get better or should i remove the carbon and medicate? i hate using the meds for to long because i feel it reeks havoc on water conditions.
