Fungia dying I think

Hello I bought this fungia plate coral a month ago and it always looked like this and I didn't know a lot about them when I bought it but I've been researching them and am starting to think it is a goner... It doesn't have any visible tentacle extension that I can notice but it does have a bright pink ring around the base which I would think indicates life... Let me know what you all think

Hmm, it doesn't look healthy to me. If it's been like that for a while I would be worried. Temporary retraction isn't too abnormal but that looks a little too "skinny".

Where do you have it placed try putting it in the sand in low to medium flow and try to feed it some mysis. I have had a purple rim plate before in the same shape just be patient with it hope it turns around

I actually placed it up closer to the 4 t5s I have and it looks much better now and is starting to get very fleshy we will see how it goes but I will move it to the sand bed
I have also started feeding it as well
I still haven't seen any tentacles is that normal? All pictures I see they have A pretty good amount of tentacles

once it gets healthier you should start to see the tentacles they are short on these plates. but its a good sign it still has its purple rim just keep doing what your doing it sounds like it is starting to turn around. keep us posted and throw a couple pics up here and there so we can see its progress
