Fungia Plate propagation

Anyone know haw to propagate Fungia Plate? I aquired an orange one and would like to see it multiply.

I have heard that it takes many years for them to grow into a circle if you frag them.

the easiest and safest way to propagate a plate is to buy a similar one and put it next to that one
otherwise, as stated they can take many, many years to regain their original shape, although sometimes when a plate dies it'll regrow many mini plates, but that also takes a long time

I think it was Calfo that gave a figure of 15 months for one to grow back into a round plate. I bought a "pie slice" and after 8 months I've noticed that it has maybe 2-3 more ridges to its plate, which would take about 10 years to completely go back round!

I just heard of someone whos got injured and started spitting out clones from the injered spot. Anyone heard of this?

Also is the color I have pictured above rare?

Not rare at all here in socal...I bought a nice sized one for $20 like 2 month ago

Wow, that was an amazing fungia plate. It is almost sad to see it cut up like that.
