Fungia?

Got these hitch hikers at the base of an acro I bought. I broke them off and mounted them on a piece of cement plug. They were no larger that a corn kernel when I got them. Are these fungia? They are growing upward and they have stalks.

I have been trying to ID one of these too.

I am pretty sure its not an Fungia, because it has a stem. I think it is some type of anenome, maybe a rock or curly cue anenome, but not sure.

I am tagging along.

I believe fungia start out anchored by a "stem" until they are bigger (dont know exactly how big ) and then as they mature break free.

Unlikely anemone, they have hard skeletons (is that the right term?)
mrbncal, it's interesting to see when they break free from the stem. I just wonder why the stems are also covered with tisuue all the way to the base (you can see vertical stripes of one in the first pic). Nice to raise a couple of fungias if that's the case. :)

Mine is the size of a nickel and is attached to the side of a Lobophyllia, for what its worth.....

I hope I am wrong and it's a fungia.
