Furan 2 advice

I killed ALL that Coral!
I have a regal angel in a 10G QT. He's eating well, but has some fin rot and one cloudy eye. I picked up some kana plex and furan 2 the other day. He's on day two with the kana plex, and I don't see much improvement yet. I have been changing 2-3 gallons a day and have a nice brick sized piece of LR in there from my established reef.

I want to add the furan 2 but I'm concerned about it wiping out my bio filter, it seems to be balanced nicely (zero ammonia) at this point.

The angel has been in there 7 days and is eating well still....

What to do, what to do?

You could treat with Furan and keep an eye out for ammonia. Do water changes and does ammonia detoxifier as needed. Once treatment is complete add another piece of LR from your main again. I keep extra pieces of LR in the refugium for just that reason.

Good tip on the rock swap.

Well Sunday AM I added the Furan2. While observing my patient last night. I was able to get a good close look and there was a full blown fluke on one eye. So I added a dose of prazi. I knew that was a lot of meds and I prefer not to dose them all at once but I wanted that fluke off his eye.

Today when I got home from work I did a 30% WC added some carbon in a sock and swapped a fresh piece of rock from my main system. He looks like a new fish today! Both eyes cleared up, fins on the rebound and better color. Still eating strong too. I'll continue to watch, I figure I'll wait two weeks after fins are at 100% then move into my frag system.

Still got this little guy in QT. Finished a second round of Prazi. He looks great, bright eyes full fins, sharp colors.

He does some random twitching. It's mostly while I'm feeding. I read some about showing dominance in angels, but he's the only fish in the tank?

IME fish will continue to twitch and shake due to the injury from the fluke's hooks. Unfortunately it could also be the flukes are still present. Angels are notorious for getting flukes and some species of flukes can take several doses of Prazi before eradication.
