Future tank mate possibilities?

Got a 65 cycling right now with some yellow tale blues, that will be rehomed because they're *******s. After the tank is done cycling I'll move my clowns and bta over. I plan on adding a cleaning crew but not sure what I'll be putting in there yet. After all that's done I'll be qt'ing 2 spotted cardinals in a 10 gallon until I see they're healthy theN they'll go in the 65. After that I gotta figure out what else I'm putting in there. Like some dwarf angels, love the bandit I saw in another thread. Want a tang but sound like not enough space. Thoughts on possibilities?

First good luck catching the little Devils.

I love angels and a dwarf would do great in your tank. Just a word of caution on angels they will or may nip at corals. However a flame or coral beauty would be a great choice. If you want something different there are Goldens, multibar, etc.

The bandit isn't a dwarf and I believe suggested tank size is 180 gallons.

Tangs I would agree are out but others have put then in smaller I'll leave it at that. In my mind foxfaces are just as nice if not nicer.

Another fish to look at and one of my favorites is a black capped basslet.

I was looking at the flame angel. Wasn't sure about the bandit, hadn't looked into that one to much yet. I plan on keeping some anenome, at the very least the bta I have already, so they would have to be compatible. I've read online copper band butterflies nip at anenomes but every experience I've read on here say they pay no mind to bta's

I have a 66 gallon that started just like yours. I removed my damsel as well. I recommend the AccliMate by Reef Gently which doubles as a fish trap. Caught my damsel in less than 5 minutes with it.

Since you're just looking for ideas, I'll tell you what I have so far and plan to get. I don't have corals but wanted as peaceful a tank as possible.

Currently have:
Mismatched pair of occelaris clowns
Royal gramma
Red Firefish
Yellow banded possum wrasse
Pair of skunk cleaner shrimp
Pair of peppermint cleaner shrimp
Various hermits and snails

Will probably be getting:
Exquisite wrasse
Flasher Wrasse (Mccoskers possibly)
Neon goby
Tailspot Blenny
Pygmy Filefish

Have considered a pygmy angel as well but they can be aggressive so I probably won't get one. I just want many different colors and shapes of peaceful small fish.
