I just got a 3" fuzzy dwarf a day and a half ago and he has been chilling in its cave on the bottom of the tank the whole time. He is not breathing heavy and moved around every 4 hours or so skitching along the bottom until he found his cave. I drip acclimated him for 45 minutes and did not think there would be a problem considering he was very healthy in the store swimming all over and curious always at the front of the tank. This morning I decided to turn off a modded tunze nanostream to see if maybe to much flow was keeping him down. His fins are all out now and he is still on the bottom but moving a lot more and not necessarily skitching around.
I have heard these fuzzy dwarfs are fine in reef tanks so I guess I assumed that flow is not an issue. I mean geez these fish live inthe ocean where I am sure currents are a lot stronger than what I can offer.
Is it possible for these fish to experience too much flow? Keep in mind that I would not consider a tunze nano stream and about 400gph as a feed from the main display as crazy flow. If flow is a problem I could not even imagine him in my main display.
