"ATLANTA, Georgia (AP) -- Two new whale sharks arrived at the world's largest aquarium Friday.

Both whale sharks -- the world's largest fish -- arrived at the Georgia Aquarium in downtown Atlanta after 6 a.m., less than 30 minutes apart.

The pair had been flown 8,000 miles from Taipei, Taiwan by way of Anchorage, Alaska. They will join the aquarium's three current whale sharks -- the only ones on display outside of Asia -- giving the 2-year-old aquarium the largest number of the giant fish on display anywhere."

In a recent episode of the excellent series "Planet Earth", I saw a whale shark swallow an entire school of little fish. The day I was at the GA, there was what appeared to be snow falling on the acrylic viewing port. I asked an employee what that was, he replied "fish poop". I hope they have an excellent filtration system.

It's great that these giant animals can be kept for the public to enjoy. On the other side of the coin I sure hope that they can be fed and kept healthy long term.

Any one know what was the result of the necropsy of Ralph, the one that earlier this year?
