Gadsden area?

I lived in Gadsden for 10 years in the 1980's and 90's. You've got a couple of good LFS there!

which ones Mariner?
Well, The Living Reef over in Rainbow City on Hwy 77 has always been FANTASTIC, IMO, although I haven't been in there in a few months. I also like Langs in Glencoe -- not geared to Reef as much, but I'm sure you can find some nice things in there occasionally.

fishfeeder,

Have you heard of a place in Geraldine called GW Justice? He has some auctions on E_bay for lighting. Looks like we have a few east Alabama reefers here! Maybe an East Alabama Reef Society? We could call it E.A.R.S!

I think we are on the same lines, mariner. I purchased a 75g sw aquarium from Langs this week but fish tails may be ahead of them on the corals and reef.

llama; I buy most of all my stuff from The Living reef in Atalla. I have purchased some from Aq. Designs in B,ham but only when there on buisness or medical visits. Langs has some saltwater but only limited space for it. Jerry at The living reef is very helpful and will spend time to answere questions so I try to stick with him unless I find livestock he doesn't have. He is just a great guy.

Tell me about your skimmer. I know the living reef carries the euro-reef skimmers ($280). Is this a good price or not? I need one.

Yes llama72 I think that is a good skimmer and a good price. You might find one online a little cheaper, but you won't have the person to person support you will get out of T.L.R. I am running a E T S skimmer on my 75gl that I got from him and it is too a good skimmer. The E R Everyone says will polish off the water a little better. My E T S produces a very dry dark skim. From what I have seen the E R skimmate is a little litter and somewhat more. These are my opinions. Maybe they will help you out. Good Luck!

I don't really remember for shure because I bought it used from TLR. It was on one of his customers tanks that was being taken down. I think they are in the price range with the E R.

We live in Attalla right on the Etowah, St Clair line on hwy 11. We get 95% of our stuff from Jerry at the Living Reef. I don't use Lang's unless I have no other choice on something.

Hey E.A.R.S.

I'm for it.............

ok....who wants to be the presindent for EARS?

I think this will be a good idea. We need someone with lots of experience (that rules me out but I will help).

I do lots of business with a company in hokes bluff called Learning Systems Technologies you know any of those folks?

Hi, I drove from Pell City to the living reef in rainbow city yesterday afternoon and was very impressed. Jerry was awesome, eager to help and talk. His displays that he wasnt re-doing were very impressive and his coral selection was very nice as well as supplies (he had kent tech a&b in the large 1/2 and gallon sizes at a great price which is something I have never found anywhere) he is also adding a new wall of tanks for fish that looked to be ready soon. just thought i would give this great place a plug . thanks
