Galaxea recovering

It's not quite dead yet... It's getting better...

No sooner than I tell Mel that I've killed her galaxea, I look in my tank and night and see it extended with 2"~3" long sweepers out. During the next day, it looked as healthy as the day I got it, but wasn't extending very far under the light -- making it look more like a healthy green star polyp than a "frilly" galaxea. Perhaps it doesn't like the light levels in my tank -- but I don't see it extending even when it is day outside in the morning while my tank lights are off. I am open to suggestions at this point.

The current in my tank is fairly high now near it (without directly blowing on it). I am not sure what my calcium level is, but alkalinity is ~11.0. Temp is between 76 and 78. The pH is between 8.0 and 8.2 when I test (no meter yet). And when I checked nitrates this weekend, they were ~0.5 or less (almost no color even from the side). I feed the mush recipe to the water (but not it directly) about every other day. I've been spraying that stuff on my candy cane and trumpet corals, but haven't thought to spot feed this guy.

Any suggestions?
