galaxia reacting to carbon?

While I was gone on christmas vacation I had my tanksitter stop by a few days and drop in a frozen food cube for my fish. In an attempt not to complicate things for him I decided that I would just use some phoszorb (cause i had some) to take care of any extra phosphates from the frozen cubes. I put the bag in and also rinsed and placed some carbon in a bag and placed that in the tank as well (i only run carbon occasionally) So after 48 hours the water was really shiny and I decided to remove the carbon bag and let the phoszorb run for a few more days. I have notices my galexia coral frag not as extended as he had been before. It has been very happy since I added it and i was a bit concerned. It is not totally closed but only about 1/2 way open. Could he be reacting to something in th carbon (first time i have put carbon in since I have had him)? Could it be reacting to the phoszorb? Could it be a reaction to a change in water quality? all my other zoas/palys and gsp are all out and happy.

Sean I would not think the carbon would do that, nor would phoszorb unless they have been in your system over 2 weeks, if so just remove them and water change should fix you up. But I would be checking water, calcium, alk & mag plus salinity. I suspect these being out of whack would be causing that. Of course a water change is always a good thing to do anytime you think something is not right. Hope that helped a little.
