Garden Eel

Has anyone had a garden eel. I just saw them and they are cool. Wondered if they are reef safe and if you can keep them alive??

I have not had a garden eel but I have kept other small eels with corals, they are reef safe as in not eating corals but they will eat inverts such as hermits, shrimp, starfish, or crabs though

i dont know anyone to keep them long term

how much sand are they supposed to live in

They can be kept alive a long time fed with encriched Brine and Mysid.

With that said, I think that DSB's are ugly as all get out (JMO). Garden eels need even more sand once they hit adult size. They are best kept in a species tank IMO.
