Gary's 90 gallon reef build

I thought I would start a thread build, it will be about 3 months until complete. Corporate housing is bitter sweat..... no rent/utilitys for 3 months but life is at a stand still.

I picked up a used stand and canopy and started the project. The finish on the stand was in poor condition and not my favorite, it also needed to have extra support. The canopy was in good condition (besides not being my favorite finish) I love the hieght of the canopy and that was the main reason for picking it up. It is hard to come across canopy's the size without being a custom biuld.

stand and canopy at time of purchase, I left the tank behind as I want one that is drilled with a internal overflow.

Stand after being beef up, sanded and in process of being refinished.

Now I have to figure out how I am going to mount the 3 AI's. Also now I have time to shop around for sand, more live rock and Eco pumps. It is so hard because I have found a few good deals on live stock and no tank to house them

Im in new mexico every couple months and I have sniffed around a little for reef shops in albuquerque but not found much more than a petco. Whats the scene like there?

Got 3 small rocks today below is a picture of one. Also started collecting some corals in a 30 gallon frag tank

That small rock is 60 lbs so I held my breath so I would not drop and break it :beer:
