gaskets on bulkehads

Does the smooth part go against the glass, or the side of the gasket with ridges?

My bulkhead gaskets are smooth on both sides. but if you only have one smooth side put that against the glass. I also use a gasket on Both sides of the glass.

anyone know a place locally i can get 2 gaskets for 1/2 inch bulkheads an 1 gasket for a 1 inch bulkhead?

you'd probibly have to make your own out of some gasket material. also the side with the small little ridge goes onto the glass on the inside of the tank.

it doesnt matter which way the ridge side goes, as long as the bulkhead is tight they wont leak. as for additional gaskets lowes if the easiest place that i know to find them
