Hello all. This is my 2nd bubble tip anemone, and when i got it i didnt realize it had two bases. Its like two bases going to one head of the anemone. I cant take picture right now because the lights are off. But i was wondering if this is normal or bad sign or even a sign of splitting? Thanks

Mmmmmm Ive heard these dudes split.......

But aint sure weather they split from the foot first

Hea here's a thought can it move any faster round the tank

Might be planning the Great Escape eah....!

If you see a motorcycle in there next week get really suspicous...!

Cycling Eah..........!

I reckon the cycle process would be exactly the same as a normal cycle process. It is the biological process you a trying to establish in your tank

The Secret of cycling ..Patience my son.........! and then some more Patience........! and did i mention Do Not Rush It.....?

All good thing's come to he who wait for ages....! and a little bit longer

regulary test your water through the cycling process and also chart it so you can be sure what is exactly happening

test and check water at least once a day

Sea Water test this stuff.....! see what trace elment's it alredy has in it....!

Don't take someone elses word find out for yourself.....!

Godd Luck

LOL. I think i'm more confused after reading this now. The tank is cycled and the water parameters are in check. I tested it and so did my local aquarium store.

Anyone else have any comments on this. I cant take a picture now b/c the anemone has moved kinda of behind on top of a rock, the base is behind the rock where i can barely see it

it is hard to tell without a pic.. but yes BTA's are very well known for splitting in the aquarium..some because they are healthy others because they are stressed..i would keep an eye on it just to be sure but if its hiding now it may be splitting or just adjusting to your tank..just offers foods and give good water quality..there are BTA's with two mouths.. it may have tried to split previously..
