It seems that people over in Europe have them, specially France. That's from the pictures of people tanks I've seen on-line. They seem to be more available over there but still rare.

Hi,

You are right, they are sometimes available here in Europe, but not very often. Don't think the availability is really higher than in the US.

I saw a Gem a few month ago at a LFS here in Germany and that was the first time I saw one. Awesome fish, but it was pretty expensive. I guess it was about 450 Euro, that is circa 530 Dollars.

530 is a ridiculously low price for those! i think i would have bough it.. lol

they usually retail for around 900-1100$
